I think this is limited to asks answered with images, THIS ALSO HAPPENED WITH SUBMITTED IMAGES, and not all of them, but. I was wondering why my answer containing like 15 butt gifs and the one containing (censored screenshots of) ACTUAL PORN were not flagged. Turns out, they were, and tumblr just straight up did not tell me.

Here’s what this post looked like on my dash, ie unproblematic:

Here’s what it looked like when I reblogged it with a burner account:

And only when I clicked this link could I report the original post

it then showed up in the sidebar like this and I was able to flag it for review

I would never have known otherwise.

PLEASE BE AWARE AND GO CHECK YOUR ASKS IF YOU ANSWER WITH IMAGES A LOT!

You can go into your archive and filter by post type to see asks you’ve answered, find the ones that contain images, then reblog them to a burner account. This is the only way I was able to find out that these posts were flagged!!!

@staff

I found at least 15 shadow-flagged posts this way. Please check if you answer asks with images, or accept submissions!!

littledozerdraws:

this weekend at WCC2018 I had the chance to meet Cesaro and Sheamus and hand both of them a copy of my comic “WE ARE THE BAR” that focuses on their shared journey in WWE.

I love these guys. their matches have always been the most powerful and intense ones I’ve seen since I got back into wrestling in early 2014. they weren’t competing that often but I cherished every single match they had. their Best Of Seven tournament took my breath away several times and when Mick Foley announced them to be a tag team my heart stopped. I cried. it was unreal … unbelievable and at pretty much the best wrestling moment I had ever witnessed.

a lot of time, sweat and love went into this little 12-page comic book and I’m excited to share it with you soon!

could you link us to that post about how to backup once blog, please? (I tru to use the search tool but nothing appears, sorry)

rex-luscus:

Sure, here are the steps:

  1. Go to “Settings” in the account menu.
  2. In the sidebar where it says “Blogs,” click on the blog you want to back up.
  3. You’ll see the page that lets you edit the appearance of the blog, etc. At the bottom, you should see a button that says “Export blog.” Click that.
  4. Tumblr will now take a shitload of time to create the backup (hours, or maybe even days if your blog has a ton of media posts) but eventually it’ll send you a link to download the backup. You don’t have to keep your browser open for that time, by the way.
  5. Once you’ve got the link, click it and download! It should give you a ZIP file with a folder of HTML files for the posts and a folder for the media files.
